Mantra Magic and Nada (sound) Yoga
Melissa is an artist, who expresses life as a dance, through massage from several ancient modalities and practice in yoga, mantra, music, and meditation. She seeks to create a space where people feel comfortable to deeply feel and express themselves. Her journey to her center began with yoga; she began practicing in high school finding personal growth and healing. She continued on to massage school and fell in love with Thai Massage, in part due to it’s yogic roots. Traveling to follow her teacher, Melissa studied near and far for the past ten years, developing her skills and practicing as a massage therapist. Her path led to further study in Yoga and Ayurveda at Naropa University, earning her Bachelors degree in Traditional Eastern Arts. She now teaches at the Veteran’s Affairs Hospital in Denver working with Service Member’s with PTSD and in the Psychology Unit, as well as, at Soul Tree Yoga. Creating a sense of community in practice can help us all to find our true gifts and grow into our fullest expression of ourselves. By offering one on one sessions and group classes, Melissa hopes to lead each person back to their depth of self, feeling wholeness, and activate the body’s innate wisdom to heal.

Building Confidence in Teaching Pregnant & Postpartum Students with Anne Spear: CE for Yoga Teachers
Are you ready to deepen your teaching and confidently support perinatal students—those who are pregnant or have recently given birth? I’m Anne Catherine, and I invite you to join me for a transformative 9-hour continuing education training that will empower you to meet the evolving needs of your perinatal students with confidence, care, and clarity.
In this course, we’ll explore how to create a nurturing and inclusive environment that adapts to
the changing needs of pregnancy and postpartum, all while honoring your scope as a teacher.
You’ll leave with practical tools and insights you can apply immediately, including:
● Scope of Practice: Learn how to communicate your role clearly to students, ensuring safety and maintaining integrity.
● Maintaining a Safe Practice: Understand how to recognize when a student may need additional resources, ensuring your practice is always safe and aligned with your ethical
responsibilities as a teacher.
● Evolving Needs: Understand the emotional, physical, and social shifts that perinatal students experience and how to support them with trauma-informed care.
● Teaching with Integrity: Build your confidence in creating inclusive, accessible sequences that honor your expertise, support your students, and uphold ethical teacher practices.
This training is for you if you’re ready to meet your students with empathy, integrity, and a deeper understanding of their unique journey through pregnancy and beyond. Whether you’re just starting to teach perinatal students or looking to expand your knowledge, this course will add invaluable depth to your teaching practice.
The eight limbs of yoga are infused in every class I teach. This training is built upon these fundamental foundations of yoga, including meditation, pranayama, asana, and the ethical practices of Yamas & Niyamas, which will guide your work with perinatal students and support a holistic approach.
