Auricular acupuncture uses specific points on the external ear to alleviate conditions in other parts of the body. The NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association) Acudetox protocol uses five points on each ear to balance the body’s energy and assist healing. Two of the points, Shen Men and Sympathetic, calm and balance the nervous system and the other three (Kidney, Liver and Lung) nourish, nurture, restore and support the whole person. These organs are also the major detoxification organs of the body. Stimulating these points also gets our natural endorphins circulating.
Acudetox was originally developed to reduce symptoms associated with cravings and withdrawl from drugs and alcohol, it has since been found to benefit chronic stress conditions such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, pain and sleep problems.

Come to explore the ecstatic relationship between spirit and sweat! J grew up in the hills of California, danced hip hop in L.A., spun with the whirling dervishes and danced with the Aboriginal people in Australia. Upon return to the U.S., she developed an independent and experimental form of catharsis through Butoh. Then, J deepened in breath-work, Prana-generating practices and movement medicine modes (including Planet Motion), and this class was created as a culmination of J’s life practice.

Hatha means willful or forceful. It is a devotional practice to Light-Love-Bliss and a powerful tool for self-transformation that ultimately requires the ego to fail. In class, poses are held for longer periods of time to purify the body of mental, emotional, physical, energetic, and psychic blocks. This allows the many channels of the body to open, particularly along the spine, so that energy can flow more freely. Therefore, particular attention is paid to alignment. Class always begins with sitting, allowing the body to settle and the student to drop into what is alive for them, placing emphasis on 3-part breathing and FEELING. An extremely meditative practice to draw forth the universal spirit within. Expect to go to the wall for inversions. All levels welcome.
Hot Stone Restore
A deeply relaxing practice of supported poses, guided relaxation, yogic breathing, and an extended savasana (final resting pose). This meditative practice uses hot stones as it cultivates a necessary balance between body and mind while dissolving physical and mental tension. For any level student seeking to reduce the effects of stress.
Kundalini is the creative potential of a person. Kundalini Yoga is called the Yoga of Awareness. It is a technology that uses movement, mantra, mudra, pranayama, and drishti in kriyas. These various kriyas help us to step into our self-mastery, to be healthy, happy and whole within ourselves and our human community. The best way to understand this yoga is to experience it; and, to be willing to relate to your inner wise teacher in moment-to-moment awareness, so you can assess the appropriate vigor or gentleness with which to approach an exercise. Then, you can feel the energy present, and the power of your consciousness. This introductory class will give you the basic underpinnings of the practice, and help you remember who you truly are—Magnificent.

Release & Restore
Release & Restore is a class designed to warm up the muscles and deep tissue through gentle yoga. From there you we will be releasing the deep tissues system/fascia by utilizing different props in a safe and gentle manner. Fascia is the deep tissue that runs throughout our whole body…holding our muscles and bones in place. Sometimes this tissue hardens…usually caused by lack of blood flow, stuck energy and working against it, instead of with it. When the fascia hardens it can cause lack of mobility and injuries. Think of this class experience as an exploration of the body and a deep tissue massage.

Yin Yoga was founded on the Taoist theory of yin and yang – opposite concepts that, together, represent balance. Yin is stable and passive, while yang is changing and active. Yin is the feminine, dark, passive, receptive, reflective, withdrawn, cool, introspective aspects of life. Yin yoga was developed to penetrate deep into connective tissue expanding flexibility while invigorating the energy centers of the body to release The yin poses, therefore, are passive and are held with the muscles fully relaxed, allowing time and gravity to deepen the stretch and target the fascia. The practice is very meditative as the poses are held for a long period of time (typically three to five minutes or longer).
We live in a yang culture; yin yoga is a simple but profound practice which serves to balance and release blocked energy.
Yin & Crystals
Yin Yoga was founded on the Taoist theory of yin and yang – opposite concepts that, together, represent balance. Yin is stable and passive, while yang is changing and active. Yin yoga was developed to penetrate deep into connective tissue expanding flexibility while invigorating the energy centers of the body to release. Poses are held with the muscles fully relaxed, allowing time and gravity to deepen the stretch and target the fascia. The practice is very meditative as the poses are held for a long period of time (typically three to five minutes or longer). Crystals, rocks and gemstones are used to create a Reiki crystal grid and sacred circle. Each student is invited to infuse a crystal with their intention and add it to the crystal grid, ritualizing individual sovereignty within communal practice. The stones become allies on our healing journey and are fun to meditate with. Jocelyn provides a vast variety of crystals and minerals to play with, but feel free to bring your own. No prior experience necessary. All are welcome.
This one hour class begins with gentle yin or restorative poses to prepare the body, some mindful breathing to still the mind and follows with about 35 – 40 minutes of blissfully relaxing Yoga Nidra.
The ancient practice of Yoga Nidra, or Yogic Sleep is the state of relaxation your body and mind enter during this deep meditation. In the restorative posture of Svasana you are led past wakefulness and the dream state into the state of deep sleep, all while remaining conscious and aware. It is an incredibly healing practice, good for creating ease in the body and stillness and insight in the mind. The benefits of a regular Yoga Nidra practice are numerous and can be especially helpful to counteract the effects of stress and anxiety that are prevalent in our modern, busy culture.
